If you need to connect multiple devices at once, you'll appreciate the Smart Power Strip with a total of seven ports - three standard and four USB.
You don't have to worry about the number of ports complicating operation. After pairing the outlet with the TESLA Smart app, you can name the entire outlet and individual ports according to the devices plugged in, so you know exactly which one you're controlling.
For example, imagine getting a one-port socket for the kitchen and a seven-port extension cable for the living room. You can then name them by room in the app. For each room you can also define the specific devices involved, for example in the living room; the TV, set-top box, Playstation and chargers. Additionally, if you're a fan of intelligent personal assistants, then you'll be pleased to know that you can easily connect to Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. Even non-smart devices can be controlled by voice commands.
The TESLA Smart app can also make your home a safer place. You can see which socket is switched on at any given time. So, you don't have to worry if you've unplugged the iron or the kettle when you leave the house. Simply check whether the socket is active or not.
Although controlling appliances via smartphone is a big help, a truly smart home is all about automation and scenarios. And with the TESLA Smart app, there are many ways to automate devices.
The most basic function is to set the on and off time. This is ideal for those with a weekend house, as for example, who can use a few clicks to ensure that the lights are switched on daily, ensuring that the place never looks deserted. You can also use automation if you want to save money. You can set the sockets to switch off automatically when you leave the house. This will help you avoid Stand by mode and unnecessary wasting of energy.
Make the most of the smart socket when creating scenarios. You simply tell your appliances how to behave in certain situations. If you're the owner of multiple Tesla products, specific examples are probably already coming to mind. The ideal choice is, for example, pairing with sensors.

For example, if you pair a motion sensor and a smart socket with a lamp, you need to set both option A (the sensor detects motion and turns the lamp on) and option B (the sensor does not detect motion and does not turn the lamp on).“
An important added value that every user will appreciate in these energy-demanding times is control over energy consumption. And the TESLA Smart Plug does this twice - firstly by measuring the power flow in the sockets and secondly by activating only the ports you are currently using.
The power flow measurement function provides information about the power consumption of the socket, both at any given moment and in the long term. You can see all the readings in the app, making it easy to spot the "electricity guzzlers" that are increasing your energy bills. The second way to reduce energy costs is to use only the ports you need. In practice, this means that the other devices remain completely switched off. And not only in Stand By mode, as is the case with standard sockets, but colloquially speaking, other appliances will be completely “out of juice”. This will really keep costs to a minimum.
Whether you choose a smart socket to save energy or to turn conventional "dumb" appliances into intelligent smart devices, its features can make it the first step towards a smarter, safer and more energy-efficient home.
